Good place for most anything. Safe harbor in case of storms since most of basement is below ground. Seperate vent shaft for wood or gas heater.

The two story barn is 50 feet long and 36 feet wide. On the lower level there are 4 12 x 12 stalls, each having a dutch door at the rear of each stall, then there is a 10 ft covered shelter so horses can be out of sun or rain but yet not confined inside in a stall. This photo shows the covered shelter to the rear of the stalls.

This photo was taken from the kitchen window and shows 4 deer grazing in the adjoining pasture. With the naked eye you get a good look of our four legged visitors, good enuf to distinguish bucks from does, fawns, etc. We have seen as many as 12 at the time in the daytime. Certain times of the year we see deer everyday.

You access the stable by car by driving past the house driveway down and around the base of the knoll to the stable. This is a "bank barn" which means you can drive into the upper level of the barn with car, equipment, etc as well as the lower level (two-story barn).

The s/d road goes past the driveway and down and around the base of the knoll, giving all passerbyers a birdseye view of the front of the house. The house has almost 3000 ft of finished area, but you have lots of room to add onto the house if someone wanted a larger home.

Chestnut mantel, real stone fireplace, very wide antique cypress board and batten wall, and the firewood elevator comes from basement into the bottom of the large corner cabinet (wide screen tv in top of cabinet)

Go up the driveway to the house and look back to the East, more mountains. All of the mountains have mature trees, mostly hardwood, which gives you wonderful fall colors in every direction.

The house has a long covered front porch that lets you take full advantage of the mountain and valley view in front of the house. Inside the house are huge plate glass pella windows that allow you to see all of this view from inside the house.

Lots of nice sunsets over the ridge shown in the photo. In the warm Summer months, this ridge blocks the late afternoon sun, allowing the coolness to start a little bit earlier than properties that catch more of the late afternoon sun.

This shows that the yard is most level at the top of the knoll. It shows the very nice stone faced chimney, and a little bit of the view looking to the south (all forest service property). Yard is nicely landscaped, easy to maintain, less than 30 minutes to mow. Also there is a small garden area that produces lots of tomatoes, squash, peppers, eggplant, etc for the kitchen.

My driveway is about 250 feet long, is fenced and gated. The fence which encircles the yard area around the house has wire to the inside of the boards, which allows it to keep the dogs inside the yard all the way down to the gate at the beginning of the driveway.

All the land you see beyond the house at the top of the ridge is forest service property for miles and miles (from Vogel, to Suches, to Coopers Creek and points beyond).

Small, horse-friendly development 6 miles from Blairsville. Only 4 full-time homes, and 2 vacation homes, in the development. No POA dues, private well. All owners own at least 5 acres, most own 7-10 acres. The development is surrounded on 3 sides by National forest land, paved road dead ends at back of the development. My home is the one in the center up on top of the knoll.

The fence you see to the right of the road is my neighbors, but at the base of the hill you see a double fence. Our boundary line is in the center of the "alleyway" formed by the double fence. The double fence ends, but the boundary line is still just on the other side of the single fence which continues to run to the right of the photo.
